Dear Sir or Madame,

We are thrilled to announce that the East Bethel Scholarship Program has gained 501(c)(3) status under the Internal Revenue Code! Effective September 9, 2016, all donations made to the program are tax-deductible. See attached Determination Letter from the Internal Revenue Service.

The East Bethel Scholarship Program is fully operated by volunteers. The program depends on support and contributions from the community, as well as fundraising activities, to help cover all program costs which includes maintaining a float for the royalty to safely participate in festival parades, preparation/presenting the East Bethel Royal Coronation and awarding educational scholarships to the ambassadors.

The East Bethel Scholarship Program allows young ladies from East Bethel and surrounding communities to pursue the titles of Miss East Bethel, East Bethel Princess, and two East Bethel Little Misses through a life-changing candidacy experience.  Upon being selected, these young ladies begin a year-long reign representing the City of East Bethel as goodwill ambassadors at events in communities throughout the State of Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. After completing their reign, they qualify to receive a scholarship for continuing education.  Miss East Bethel goes onto represent our community as a candidate in the Queen of the Lakes competition at the Minneapolis Aquatennial celebration.

We are asking for your deeply appreciated and continued support in this effort to build a stronger program and helping to develop positive role models among the young women in the community.  The East Bethel Scholarship Program is proud to be a partner in the promotion of our community.  With the support of local businesses, our efforts will be successful!
