Job Posting: Human Services Technician

REPORTS TO: Unit Manager

Takes direction from: Unit Manager and Director of Nursing

We need 24/7 coverage, part time will also be available.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides for the needs of youth, maintains a safe and healthy learning environment and teaches independent living, socialization and problem solving skills, relates with care and concern in teaching basic living skills, positive values, and responsibilities to youth in our care. Provides group, individual, and family skills training components as directed by the client’s individual treatment plan.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED certificate

Two years of full time employment or equivalent working with individuals in an environment that provides broad familiarity with and understanding of the physical and emotional needs of children.

College training may be substituted for experience.

Possess strong written and verbal communication skills

Possess good organizational skills

Maintain a good driving record and possess a valid driver’s license

Ability to relate both individually and in group setting to young people in a positive, productive fashion.

Able to use sound judgement and role model positive behaviors.

Work effectively in a team setting.

Typing speed of 30wpm and working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
